Local gardener, writer and scientist Gabriel Popkin will be visiting us to give a brief lecture. Holding a B.A in Physics from Wesleyan University and a M.A. in science writing, He is a true servant to science and educating others. Gabe enjoys writing on a range of topics from physics to ecology and you can find Gabriel's work in such famous publications as The New York Times, Washington Post, Washington Post Magazine, Inside Science, Science News, Johns Hopkins Magazine, Discover, Nautilus, Smithsonian, Scientific American, and NPR. Aside from his many impressive scientific achievements, he also loves square dancing. Please join us in what is sure to be a very casual, informative and entertaining afternoon with other local gardeners and plant-curious patrons. Light refreshments will be served before hand.
